Eligibility & Fees
Everything you need to know to prepare for your arrival at La Roseraie.
Can I give birth at La Roseraie?
Giving birth in a birth centre is for low-risk pregnancies (without complications). Your midwife will assess your eligibility at your first antenatal appointment.
Main criteria:
- A single, low-risk pregnancy (no twin pregnancy)
- Good general health of the mother
- Registration before 34 weeks of pregnancy
- A plan for a natural birth, without an epidural
- At least 2 pregnancy appointments at La Roseraie before the birth
- No previous caesarean section, placenta accreta/percreta or uterine rupture
- Age: up to 41 for a first child, 43 for subsequent children
- BMI between 17 and 30
- Scans and tests within normal ranges
- Signed informed consent
During your care:
Some situations rule out giving birth at La Roseraie: placenta praevia, breech presentation, high blood pressure or pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes treated with insulin, growth restriction, macrosomia, birth before 37 weeks or after 42 weeks. Your care is then transferred to a suitable facility, still with your midwife by your side.
Unsure about your situation? Talk to us: every case is considered individually.
Fees and insurance cover
The birth and postnatal stay at La Roseraie are covered by basic health insurance (LAMal), with no deductible or co-payment. You have nothing to pay upfront.
